Under the patronage of Allama Sayyed Ali Fadlallah, the union of the boards of friends of Al-Mabarrat held its meeting at the Lady Khadija Al-Kubra Mabarra, where its annual plan and the means of implementing it were presented, in addition to the necessity of activating the role of these boards by carrying out many national, educational and social activities and adopting the slogan {Cooperate in righteousness and piety} for the union's work and its activities throughout the season.
The president of the union of the boards of friends of Al-Mabarrat Dr. Wajih Fanous delivered a speech in which he addressed the plan intended to be carried out to face the crises buffeting this homeland and leaving their negative repercussions on reality..
Then came Allama Sayyed Ali Fadlallah's speech, in which he expressed his happiness at this meeting, which gave him the opportunity to meet an elite of the sincere and the mission-driven who have devoted themselves to serving this society and its dependants.
His Eminence added: The stage is difficult and complex, especially amid the deterioration of the value of the national currency and the increase in cases of poverty and need. All these challenges drive us to more cooperation and to mobilizing all internal and external efforts and energies in order to involve society in the process of supporting these institutions, which embrace orphans and the poor and offer assistance to needy families, the poor and people with disabilities.
His Eminence pointed out: The mission of Al-Mabarrat from which it set out is the mission of love and openness to everyone; it relies on extending bridges and seeks to strengthen the language of dialogue and to close distances. He noted the necessity of activating and strengthening these concepts amid this high-pitched discourse that makes matters more complicated and reflects an atmosphere of discouragement and despair among people.
His Eminence continued: Sadly we have turned this homeland into an arena of conflicts and a platform for settling internal and external scores, and we have returned to hearing propositions of partition, federalism and special projects for every sect. We say to everyone: you have tried all these options before and reaped from them nothing but wars, tragedies and destruction for this country. So spare its people all these calamities and woes, and return to the language of reason and dialogue so that we may be able to face all these challenges and crises buffeting our reality - and then we will have begun to walk the right road to building this homeland.
He concluded his words by calling on the religious leaderships to return to the teachings of the heavenly religions, which came in order to spread love, mercy and peace.
