Al-Mabarrah's team achieved a major feat by returning to the first division football league, after a decisive 4-2 win over Al-Ahli Nabatieh in the penultimate round of the promotion play-off group. The Senegalese striker Baba Cisse stood out in the match with a “super hat-trick”, establishing himself as the outright star of the match and the season.

This win crowns a long season in which the team faced many challenges, foremost among them the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and its repercussions at every level, along with the passing of the club's president Hajj Ali Haidar a month before the end of the season, which made the road harder still. Yet the team pressed on with determination until it returned to its natural place in the top flight.

Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association called on its supporters among staff, teachers, coaches, players, fans and former players to follow the team and support it on its journey, under the slogan “Al-Mabarrah to the First Division”, stressing the importance of attendance and of sporting conduct in the stands, in a way that reflects the Association's values and history.
