In a new achievement added to their record of distinction and excellence, students of Al-Mabarrat schools stood out in the “Arab Reading Challenge, Season Nine”, taking leading places in Lebanon, with a number of them qualifying for the final rounds to be held in the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of a select group of readers from across the Arab world.
An honoring ceremony for the winning students was held in the conference hall at Middle East Airlines, Rafic Hariri International Airport, under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Rima Karami, and attended by educational and cultural figures.
The main achievements of Al-Mabarrat schools this season were as follows:
Student Zulfiqar Sabra of Al-Rahma Secondary School (third secondary year) took first place in Lebanon in the people of determination category.
Student Fatima Al-Berjy of the Al-Hadi Foundation for Hearing and Visual Impairment, Language and Communication Disorders (grade nine) qualified for the final stage after placing among the top three in Lebanon in the people of determination category.
Student Nour Haidar of Imam Al-Hassan (PBUH) Secondary School (secondary department) qualified for the final stage after placing among the top ten in Lebanon.
Student Batoul Bou Hamdan of Imam Al-Jawad and Al-Kadhim Secondary Schools (third cycle) qualified for the final stage after placing among the top ten in Lebanon.
Al-Mabarrat schools affirm that they will continue supporting students and encouraging them to excel, particularly in cultural initiatives that strengthen identity, knowledge and belonging.
