The institutions of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association observed this year's Ashura gatherings in remembrance of the uprising of Imam Al-Hussein (PBUH) and its principles of truth, justice and reform, through a range of faith-based, cultural and humanitarian events in which staff, children and the local community took part.
The institutions held daily Ashura gatherings, which included guiding and spiritual addresses affirming the importance of drawing on Husseini values in individual and collective conduct. Ashura meals (madhif) were also organized at the institutions, rooting a spirit of sharing and love and expressing affection for the sake of God.
In a notable humanitarian initiative, the Association organized a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the relevant health bodies, a step expressing Husseini sacrifice and giving in their finest form. Special discounts on medical tests were also offered at its various health centers.
The children at the institutions expressed their love and loyalty to Imam Al-Hussein (PBUH) through illustrated messages written in their sincere innocence, reflecting their spontaneous understanding of the Ashura uprising and its human dimensions.
The events also included inviting orphans to Ashura meals with the support of benefactors and sponsoring bodies, in a warm family atmosphere that strengthens the values of mercy and mutual support to which Imam Al-Hussein (PBUH) called.
Among the purposeful social events, the Association held the “Breeze of Goodness” fair, which offered essential goods and a variety of products, with the proceeds going to support school fees for students in difficult social circumstances.
These events come within the leading role of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association's institutions in linking religious occasions with educational and social values and in strengthening a spirit of belonging and responsibility among young people and the wider community.
