Al-Mabarrat Scouts Association opened its training camp at Al-Hawra Charity (Ali Al-Nahri - the Bekaa), under the slogan “The Scout Leader: Mission and Values, Confidence and Resolve”, in the presence of the president of Al-Mabarrat Scouts Association Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah and the members of the administrative board, alongside the directors of the educational and care institutions.
The activities began with the flag-raising ceremony, then a speech by Dr. Fadlallah in which he affirmed that “the Al-Mabarrat scouts who have carried this mission have always been wherever duty lay”, adding: “This association does what befits its name, as its members blend into the social fabric around them until they have become part of people's memory, their stories and their spaces of hope”.
He pointed out that “what we are launching today is a training path, a package of educational and field tracks carefully designed and built on a realistic understanding of what leaders need at every level. Each group has content that addresses it, sharpens its tools and opens new windows of understanding and practice before it”. He said: “The aim of these studies is that the leader becomes a point of reference in the field, developing through understanding and translating it into impact, possessing flexibility while preserving the fundamentals, mastering performance and knowing the direction of the road. Every participation today adds to the participants' record something beyond certificates. It forms a personal narrative that mirrors their leadership identity and contributes to building a genuine portfolio expressing their experiences and successes”.
He stressed that “this year's training programmes have been designed precisely to suit leaders' needs at their different levels, and provide space for deep understanding and real learning, where every activity turns into an experience that builds character and enriches the leadership experience”.
He spoke about “the importance of engaging consciously with technology and the means of communication”, calling for “directing their use toward what strengthens thought and identity, and protects leaders from the behavioural and psychological challenges that may result from negative use”.
He addressed “the role of the Al-Mabarrat scouts during crises, especially the latest war, where the scout's role was to relieve those in distress - a role of distinctive value because it upholds what is right and defends the wronged with the tender touch, the kind word and varied assistance according to need”.
