Imam Ali (PBUH) Secondary School held the Taklif ceremony for boys, on the occasion of the birth of the Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (PBUH), under the patronage of the Director of the Directorate of Religious Supervision and Public Relations Coordinator at Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, Sheikh Fouad Khreiss, and in the presence of the Director of Religious Guidance, Sheikh Abbas Halal, alongside the school administration, its religious counselor, the parents, and a number of members of the administrative and teaching staff.
The ceremony program included purposeful and varied segments. It opened with an introduction delivered by pupil Hassan Kassir, followed by a blessed recitation from the Holy Quran by pupil Sayyed Hashem Al-Husseini, then an artistic segment in the form of a choral anthem titled «Ameeri Ali». Pupil Jawad Sharafeddine also delivered a speech on behalf of those coming of age, expressing pride in this blessed stage. The ceremony's patron, Sheikh Fouad Khreiss, then delivered a speech addressing the concept of religious maturity as a pivotal milestone in a person's life, in which they move from childhood to bearing the religious responsibility God Almighty has entrusted to them, which He made an honor and a distinction for the human being, rather than a burden weighing upon them.
He emphasized the importance of using the mind God has given to human beings in what pleases the Almighty Creator, and of relying on awareness and insight in making decisions, calling for avoiding desires and being led by instincts, and for embracing the moral values that protect a person and guide them toward the right path.
He also stressed the duties that a person of religious maturity should uphold, in a way that reflects the balanced Islamic character God intended for His righteous servants, noting that these duties form the basis for building an aware and responsible person capable of fulfilling both their religious and social roles.
He cited noble Quranic verses affirming the standing of reason, responsibility and commitment in a believer's life, explaining that divine religious obligation forms the basis for building an aware character capable of fulfilling its role in society according to the sound divine approach.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of gifts to those who had come of age.
