The chairman of the board of the Al-Mabarrat Doha complex Sheikh Fouad Khreis and Ms. Riva Al-Sayed Qassem, director of the Imam Al-Khoei Mabarra High School, hosted the president of the Educational Centre for Research and Development Mr. George Nohra at the head of a delegation from the centre comprising Dr. Jihad Sleiba, educational adviser to the centre's president, Mr. Bassem Issa, head of the computing office, and Dr. Joumana Assaf, head of the science department at the centre, at his office in Doha. They were received by the head of the information systems and technology unit Mr. Reda Nasser Eddine, the science subject coordinator Mr. Mohammad Chkeir, and the integrative education subject coordinator Ms. Mona Saleh.
The complex's director welcomed the guests, introducing the institution, its educational aspirations, its keeping pace with development and modernity, and its effort to achieve the educational goals of raising the generations of the future, developing their skills, refining their characters and supplying them with the provision of knowledge, morals, patriotism and the wisdom flowing from the visions of the founding Marja His Eminence Allama Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah (may God be pleased with him). He praised the centre's role and its president's initiative in communicating with educational bodies and institutions, and called for cooperation in developing the curricula, facing the challenges of the virtual age, and enriching the educational platforms and their digital content.
The school's director then explained the teaching paths followed during the period of distance learning and shed light on the role of the teaching platform and its offerings during that period.
Mr. Nohra then spoke at length about the Educational Centre's role and what it has done since he assumed its presidency, at the internal level and at the level of setting clear strategies for the work and activating the developmental projects and programmes, and at the level of the relationship with the Ministry of Education and with the various influential and active bodies in this field. He praised the association's efforts and its pioneering role, affirming the centre's openness and its call for cooperation, exchanging expertise and enriching the centre's digital library, from which everyone in the public and private sectors benefits.
In closing there was a discussion in which Dr. Sleiba, Mr. Bassem and Dr. Joumana from the centre and the educational officials from the Al-Mabarrat Doha educational and care complex took part, along with a presentation of the digital teaching platform produced by the specialists at Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association.
The chairman of the board of the Al-Mabarrat Doha educational and care complex and the centre's president also affirmed the necessity of organizing the means of cooperation between them and of continuing communication and coordination.
