“Al-Bashaer High School” in Baalbek honoured 151 pupils who had passed the intermediate certificate examinations, under the patronage and in the presence of the Minister of Industry Hussein Hajj Hassan, the director supervising the schools of “Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association” in the central Bekaa Ibrahim Al-Saeed, the high school's principal Itidal Al-Jamal, and educational and social figures.
In his speech the minister Hajj Hassan offered congratulations to the successful pupils, saying: “Knowledge is a deep, fathomless sea; knowledge is the key to goodness and to every positive thing in the world, and ignorance is the key to every evil. The worst kind of ignorance is compound ignorance, as is the case with these takfiris whose scholars claim knowledge while they are at the summit of ignorance and of the ignorant.”
He added: “Two fundamental subjects face us. The first is the ordeal of takfir and terrorism the nation is witnessing, which is convulsing the region. The takfiri terrorists are tools in the American-Israeli project, and we no longer need evidence to know the extent of the armament concluded through American deals and funded by the Gulf states for Daesh, Al-Nusra and the other terrorist groups. The aim is one: to tear the nation apart so that control becomes easy for America and so that Israel becomes the only strong state in the region, with the rest as conflicting entities that have no power or strength and no role but division.” He pointed out that “in the face of this challenge, confrontation through resistance was necessary, in addition to all the means of culture and knowledge. This project is no longer a secret nor hidden from anyone; the Americans have spoken about it for tens of years, and among its indications is the recent American position of evading the agreements with the Russians, arming Al-Nusra and the terrorist groups and shelling the Syrian army.”
He held that “the latest creation of Arab moderation - rather of Arab malady, for they are a malady and causes of maladies - is the Bahraini foreign minister's prayer for the Israeli terrorist president, ‘rest in peace'”, explaining that “we do not in fact need evidence to know that the official Arab order is for the most part in the service of the American-Israeli project in the region”, and announcing: “We shall complete the confrontation, and at the heart of our concerns the cause of Palestine will remain - the cause abandoned by most of the Arabs and by the majority of the Muslims, so that they might busy themselves with the projects of strife and takfir, of tearing the nation apart and destroying many of its foundations. We have no choice but resistance and victory, God willing.”
He went on: “The second subject is the recent developments in Lebanon”, affirming that it must be stressed that “Lebanon was, still is and will remain the homeland of coexistence, dialogue and meeting, whose institutions and state can only be built on the basis of dialogue, meeting, calm discussion and sound relations among all the components - leading to the revival of the work of the institutions: the presidency, the parliament and the government, and of dialogue, an electoral law, the economy, balanced development and growth, coexistence, and defence through the equation of the army, the people and the resistance in the face of the Zionist enemy and in confronting the takfiri terrorist project. This is our call and this is our position, asking the Lord Almighty to grant everyone success in these aims that preserve Lebanon with all its components.”
