Sayyed Ali Fadlallah sponsored the honoring ceremony held by Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association for its staff at the Association's General Administration on the occasion of Labour Day, at \u201cAl-Saha, the Lebanese Heritage Village\u201d, attended by the Association's Director General Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah, Dr. Sayyed Jaafar Fadlallah, the directors of the Association's institutions, and the honorees.
The ceremony opened with verses from the Holy Quran, then a welcome speech by Mr. Mohammad Rihan, followed by a presentation of a speech by the religious authority Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah (may God be pleased with him) on \u201cthe standing of the worker in Islam\u201d. This was followed by a visual presentation about the Association's former Director of Information Technology, the martyr Nader Yazbek, on his contributions and sacrifices. Fatima Issa then delivered a speech on behalf of the staff addressing the spirit of belonging and the noble purpose that unites the staff in serving society. Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah then addressed the staff, saying: \u201cDear colleagues, you are the heart of these institutions, their memory and the breath by which life in their corridors is ordered. You are the mind that manages well, the hand that holds the threads of organization, and the spirit that instils in every corner of the work a sense of responsibility and the warmth of belonging\u201d.
He noted that \u201cwork in this age is no longer a craft. Work in our days is knowledge, thought and art. Your pursuit of self-development and your progress toward acquiring new skills that keep pace with technological change therefore lie at the heart of Al-Mabarrat's mission: that the worker be a human being in their post, engaged with the developments of their age and contributing to building a better tomorrow\u201d.
He held that any work needs communication that has room for a smile, for an ear that listens and for the word that puts things right, and that this comes about only through a culture that belongs to Al-Mabarrat and a broad and deep acquaintance with the thought of the founding religious authority, who believed that the good word repairs what harshness ruins, and that a person is not summed up by one position nor understood outside the context of their needs and experiences\u201d.
He continued: \u201cDear colleagues, you are the image in which the institutions' values are reflected. You are the face that eyes see and hearts trust, and how much we need to tend that image with kindness, to express our affection through good conduct, and to listen well even in the most delicate moments\u201d.
In conclusion, Sayyed Ali Fadlallah delivered a speech in which he began by expressing his thanks and his pride in the staff, who represent a great value, thanking them for their dedication, their sacrifices and their loyalty for the success of this institution and its development toward the better.
His Eminence noted that these institutions' continuation in their mission, their work and their provision would not have happened without your dedication and sincerity in your work and your efforts in serving society and seeking to advance it toward the better. He observed that all the challenges and difficulties we face in this country have not hindered your work and effort or brought despair and discouragement into your hearts; rather they have increased your determination to continue your mission of strengthening society and its capacities and fortifying its people with piety, will and steadfastness in the face of any pressures they may face aimed at undermining their firmness and dignity.
His Eminence addressed the staff, saying: Your work is mission-driven work, because it helps build essential foundations for this nation by creating educational, health, care, humanitarian and social institutions that attend to people's needs and work to ease their pain.
His Eminence held that the General Administration of Al-Mabarrat Association is the heart by which all the institutions that sprang from it beat, and so the heart must always beat with vitality, life, goodness and giving, so that this is reflected in the Association's work as movement, effectiveness and activity that grows and rises through their complementarity and the combined efforts of all who work within it.
His Eminence said: We do not claim that there are no mistakes here or there, but we always work to strengthen its points of strength and to address every weakness, so that we may maintain this distinction at every level.
He closed by affirming that these institutions are not the property of a person, a body or a state. They were created from the people and for the people, and not for a personal aim, an individual interest, or ambition for a position here or there.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of gifts to the honored staff, in expression of the Association's thanks and appreciation for their sincere efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
