As part of its efforts to develop the educational process and build its students' life skills, Imam Al-Jawad Secondary School implemented the global Skills Builder programme across all educational stages, from kindergarten through to the third secondary year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme is based on eight essential skills and six guiding principles, which were embedded across all subjects: problem solving was emphasized in the sciences, leadership and teamwork in social studies, creativity in the arts, and listening and speaking skills in Arabic, English and French.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The school was careful to embed the skills in classroom and extracurricular activities, through varied educational applications and community initiatives that reflect a well-rounded learning environment. The teaching staff also took specialized online training courses supervised by the Skills Builder team, followed by internal workshops to consolidate the concepts and strengthen teaching practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme's impact was not limited to students and teachers but extended to parents as well, through training meetings and effective communication, which helped strengthen the educational partnership between family and school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that students took part in a range of applied activities and events such as art, science and book fairs, environmental initiatives, and educational and social competitions, which helped reinforce the acquired skills in real-life contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, the school's administration stressed the importance of continuous assessment as a tool for measuring students' progress in skill building, noting that this had a tangible effect in building the student's character and strengthening their engagement with their community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
