The city of Bint Jbeil witnessed the reopening of the \u201cAl-Ra'fa Health and Social Centre\u201d of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, at a large official and public ceremony attended by a number of political, social and religious figures, foremost among them MP Dr. Ashraf Baydoun, the Director General of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah, the head of the union of Bint Jbeil municipalities Dr. Ali Shaito, the head of Bint Jbeil municipality Mr. Mohammad Bazzi, and the head of Ainata municipality Mr. Ali Khazaal, alongside mukhtars, social figures and members of the Association.
The ceremony opened with a welcoming word delivered by Ms. Layal Harz, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran in the voice of student Jawad Khanafer of Al-Ishraq Secondary School in Bint Jbeil.
In her speech, the director of the Sayyed Abdul Raouf Fadlallah Complex, Ms. Rabiaa Baydoun, affirmed the importance of the centre's return to work, pointing to the challenges the complex faced over the past years and the achievements it made, especially in terms of the performance of the secondary section's students in the official examinations, despite the difficult circumstances the region is going through.
For his part, Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah delivered a speech in which he expressed the importance of this return, saying: \u201cHere we are today restoring the vitality of this place after suffering that is still being repeated, but the steadfastness of the workers and their faith in their cause is what has kept it alive. Faith has turned into movement, giving and sacrifice in the service of the human being and of society. These institutions came into being from the people and for the people, and they will carry on as long as the need for them remains\u201d.
He added: \u201cThese elderly people, for whom the ways of life have narrowed, have a great standing in the law of heaven, where God made kindness to parents an act of worship mentioned alongside worship of Him, glorified be He. Hence comes the importance of supporting these centres, which offer care and attention to this group that needs someone to stand at its side\u201d.
Fadlallah affirmed that Al-Mabarrat Association will continue its work in strengthening its social, health and educational services, stressing that \u201cpatience and faith\u201d are the watchwords of this stage, and calling for continued moral and material support for these institutions, which form a basic pillar of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is worth noting that the Al-Ra'fa Health and Social Centre includes specialized medical and social services, and forms part of the system of care that Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association provides across the various Lebanese regions.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
