The Islamic Cultural Centre has recently published a new book entitled \u201cMessages from God\u201d by the writer Sayyed Shafiq Al-Moussawi. It is a spiritual, reflective work presenting a collection of reflections inspired by selected Quranic verses, aiming to bring reassurance to the soul, to plant hope, and to lift the spirit into spaces of serenity, purity and love.
Sayyed Al-Moussawi noted that the idea for the book arose during the period of the Zionist attacks on Lebanon, when the Holy Quran was his constant companion and his spiritual refuge, which led him to reflect on the content of the Quranic verses and to draw out deep spiritual and human messages, drawing on a number of the major works of exegesis that have enriched the Islamic library.
The book is distinguished by its smooth and direct style, as Al-Moussawi relied on concision, clarity of phrase and soundness of wording, keeping away from complexity and obscurity, which makes the reading an experience that is at once enjoyable and moving. The book offers Quranic material with a bearing on everyday life that can serve as spiritual and ethical provision for the reader on their road toward God's pleasure and a commitment to His teachings.
