Al-Mabarrat's schools - Al-Hadi Institution, Al-Kawthar High School and Al-Hassan High School - took part in the twenty-sixth science, mathematics and technology fair of the American University (Science Math and Technology Fair AUB 2021), with the participation of some 24 schools that presented 150 scientific projects across three different stages (primary, intermediate and secondary) from the various Lebanese regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Hadi Institution took first place for the \u201cElectronic Mask\u201d project in the third cycle, \u201ctechnology category\u201d, by students Hussein Awada, Saleh Kanaan and Ashraf Fawaani; the \u201ccos & sin\u201d project in the third cycle, \u201cmathematics category\u201d, by students Layn Al-Rumh and Hussein Mhanna; and the \u201cCalculating the Hypotenuse of a Right-Angled Triangle\u201d project in the second cycle, \u201cmathematics\u201d, by students Hadi Maghbat and Sadek Makhoul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Hadi Institution also won second place for the \u201cThe Secret of My Immunity\u201d project in the first cycle, \u201cscience\u201d category, by students Fatima Hariss, Banin Al-Dur, Dana Nasser and Ali Nasser; and for the \u201cV&I action\u201d project in the third cycle, \u201cscience\u201d category, by students Mahdi Harb, Qassem Hammoud and Khalil Qlait. Al-Hadi took third place for the \u201cWater Level Measuring Device\u201d project in the secondary stage, by students Ali Al-Laqis, Mahdi Fawaz and Hassan Odeh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For its part Al-Kawthar High School took first places for the \u201cI Will Not Take You With Me\u201d project in the kindergarten stage, \u201cscience\u201d category, by pupil Amir Ali Shehadeh; the \u201cTikTok the Crazy Cup\u201d project in the kindergarten stage, \u201ctechnology\u201d category, by pupil Ali Al-Hadi Halim Saeed; the \u201cBack to the Model or the Content?\u201d project in the primary stage, \u201cscience\u201d category, by pupils Jad Al-Miqdad and Jad Dergham; and the project \u201cResponsible Living: Building a Better Environment\u201d in the secondary stage, \u201cscience\u201d category, by pupil Sarah Moussa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Kawthar also won the second prize for the \u201cEnergy Shoe\u201d project in the intermediate stage, \u201ctechnology\u201d category, by pupil Yazan Al-Hajj Suleiman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For its part Imam Al-Hassan (a.s.) High School took first place in the kindergartens in the scientific research category for the \u201cTutti Frutti\u201d project by pupils Karim Halal, Reem Mohammad, Zahraa Hassan and Fatima Seif Eddine. It took second place in the first cycle in the \u201cReal World Mathematics\u201d category for the project \u201cAs Much As\u201d by pupils Aseel Fatouni and Adam Obeid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Hassan took third place both in the third cycle in the \u201cReal World Mathematics\u201d category for the project Aesthetics and Continuity by pupils Lamar Hammoud and Maryam Safwan, and in the secondary section in the \u201cTechnology Invention\u201d category for the project The Magic Barrel by pupils Layn Farhat, Yusra Kanaan and Nour Al-Zahraa Tarrad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It should be noted that the judging of the projects was carried out remotely through virtual classrooms for each project, where questions were put to the participating pupils about the importance of the idea, the project's connection with the subject, the steps of implementation and the project's goals.
