Sayyed Ali Fadlallah sponsored the opening ceremony of the sports hall and the school garden at the Doha Al-Mabarrat Educational and Care Complex and Al-Abrar Secondary School in Doha.
The ceremony opened with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the Lebanese national anthem, after which the charity's children presented a selection of anthems inspired by the occasion. Sayyed Fadlallah then delivered a speech in which he began by expressing his great happiness at meeting within this institution, which has been and will remain a distinctive landmark in the journey of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association's institutions, as it was its first and still stands as a byword for excellence and creativity.
He added: Our meeting today affirms this excellence, which we want to continue and to shine through the institution's performance and its humanitarian, care and social mission, and through its constant concern that its distinction should not be merely formal but substantive, seeking to build an aware and educated generation that carries academic, ethical and faith-based values and serves as a model in this society.
His Eminence spoke about the garden that was inaugurated, which will adorn this institution as an added value to its spiritual and moral beauty and to the beauty of the life expressed by its values and principles. He affirmed that we want this picture to be a model for all our institutions and to be reflected in our reality, stressing that this institution set out for the sake of God and His pleasure and to serve His creation, and seeks no personal or self-serving aim beyond easing the pain and suffering of the people of this country. It draws no distinction between one person and another, and seeks to present authentic Islam, which believes in openness to the other and in building bridges with them, while preserving our identity and our culture.
He noted that it is the responsibility of all of us to preserve these institutions, renew them and develop them, so that they remain present in the fields of progress and knowledge, for we carry a message of love, cooperation and coming together with everyone, and we do not believe in narrow, closed frameworks but in open ones.
He pointed out that today we are opening a sports hall out of our belief that a sound mind resides in a sound body, and out of our concern that our male and female students enjoy health of mind, spirit, heart and body, affirming the role of sport in developing skills and honing minds, and noting that the Association works to embrace these talents through its own sports clubs, foremost among them Al-Mabarrah Sports Club.
He dwelt on the exhibition of arts and talents, expressing his admiration for the outstanding scientific and artistic projects he saw, affirming that it is the responsibility of all of us to bring out these talents, unleash them in the right place, embrace them and benefit from them, and not allow them to emigrate from this country, stressing that we possess a culture of life and creativity, and that we have a history and minds that help elevate this country, and that we are not on the margins of others.
His Eminence said that through genuine dialogue, far from sterile polemics, trading accusations from a distance and scoring points, we can fortify this country's internal immunity, be able to face challenges and pressures, and build a strong and just state. Otherwise, the structure will collapse on everyone's heads.
He thanked the administration of the institution and the complex for their efforts, noting the close relationship between the institution and parents, and affirming that these institutions came from the people and are for the people, and that together we will continue this journey to fortify our reality against every affliction it may face.
His Eminence had earlier opened the educational activities exhibition titled \u201cOur Talents Speak\u201d, touring it and listening to the students' creations and their detailed explanations of their projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n
