If these senses are lost, a person loses with them the ability to live a natural life and a dignified existence. It is enough, for us to know this, to close our eyes for a few moments, or to stop our ears, or to fall silent or be unable to communicate with others.”

He added: “Our humanity and our faith call us to bear responsibility towards these people: to be eyes for those who have lost their eyes, ears for those who have lost their hearing, tongues for those who have lost the ability to speak, and to be a means of communication for those unable to communicate; to stimulate and develop the capacities deposited in them - for God, out of His mercy, does not take a blessing from a servant without compensating them with another.”

Fadlallah pointed out that we do not want to absolve the state of its responsibility, for it is responsible for its citizens, all its citizens, and among its first duties is to raise up the weak among them by making them equal to the rest of the citizens. This calls upon it to issue the laws that protect them and that guarantee them a life equal to others'. By help we mean securing a fitting study place, and the work that expresses their latent energies, and that through it a dignified life be secured for them. There are other requirements such as obtaining housing and securing the requirements of marriage for those for whom that is not available.

He demanded the application of the law that was issued, which obliges public and private institutions to take a proportion of their staff from among people with special needs, and said: “We will not wait for the state, even though we demand that it carry out the role required of it by every means. We call on the government that will be formed to place these people among its priorities; and for our part we will continue what we began together of striving to secure work for every person with a disability - and we have succeeded relatively.”

Fadlallah affirmed that this institution will continue working so as to complete its role by meeting its needs in carrying out its responsibility, where many await a place on the study benches in all branches of disability, especially autism, where the institution is crowded with those in it. Everyone knows the negative effects that people with disabilities, their families and society will bear if places are not secured for these people.

He concluded by saying: “We will continue to insist on this institution's continuation with the same spirit with which it set out - the spirit of sincerity, love and mercy - and on always looking to new successes and achievements, so that we may be among the best in deed in the light of the Quranic guidance.”

[248
275
post-3370","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-248","tag-275
["GET
