The \u201cDoha Al-Mabarrat Educational and Care Complex\u201d organized its eighteenth annual sports festival on the complex's grounds, under the patronage of the president of the municipality of the city of Choueifat Melhem Al-Souki, with the participation of 22 schools and educational institutions and a number of sports clubs.

The players competed over a full day in the following games (for males and females): football, handball, badminton, table tennis, tug of war, running and recreational games.

To begin with, a speech by our colleague Ismail Al-Moussawi, who welcomed those present and introduced the participating teams. The beginning was with blessed verses from the Holy Quran recited by Sayyed Hashem Al-Hakim, then those present stood for the Lebanese national anthem.

The director of the Doha Al-Mabarrat complex Ibrahim Alaeddine delivered a speech for the occasion in which he affirmed \u201cthe importance of the activities and of the annual festival for developing talents and strengthening capacities, since sport is an education of the spirit, the mind and the body\u201d.

Afterwards the festival's patron expressed his pride in and admiration for what the young people had presented during this day, for the accomplishments they had reaped and for the efforts Al-Mabarrat Association exerts in the service of the human being and of society. He said: \u201cSince 1978 this noble association has been striving for the sake of the human being and the rising generation, and Imam Al-Khoei Mabarrat has been and, God willing, will remain a shining lighthouse of giving wherever it is found. This association has not been remiss in caring for orphans and keeping them away from all the blights that strike our society. Today we are with you to strengthen, endorse, support and patronize sporting activities.\u201d

At the close of his speech he offered congratulations to the winners and to the organizers of the sports festival, who had worked tirelessly to make this great sporting event a success.

The ceremony closed with the presentation of honorary shields and the distribution of medals and cups to the winners in the sporting games, the results being as follows:
