Under the patronage of the president of the municipality of the city of Choueifat, the Doha Al-Mabarrat Educational and Care Complex held the eighteenth annual sports festival on the complex's grounds, with the participation of 22 schools and educational institutions and many sports clubs, who competed over a full day in the following games (for males and females): football, handball, badminton, table tennis, tug of war, running, recreational games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The media figure Ismail Al-Moussawi welcomed those present, introducing the participating teams and the course of the ceremony. To the strains of the musical troupe of Imam Al-Khoei Mabarrat, the first aid club of the Doha Al-Mabarrat Educational and Care Complex entered, followed by the scout troop of Imam Al-Khoei Mabarrat, after which the athletes of the participating schools and clubs entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The ceremony included a performance by the arts troupe, after which the complex's director Professor Ibrahim Alaeddine delivered a speech in which he set out the importance of the annual festival, saying: \u201cIt is the product of developing talents and strengthening capacities that have been trained over years and days. Hence the multiplicity of the complex's own clubs, which have reached 34 clubs joined by more than 550 boys and girls of the various age stages from Imam Al-Khoei Mabarrat, Al-Abrar School, Ali Al-Akbar Institute and Prophet Youssef Mabarrat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This was followed by a speech by the sports festival's patron, in which he expressed his pride in and admiration for \u201cwhat the young people presented during this day, for the accomplishments they reaped and for the efforts Al-Mabarrat Association exerts in the service of the human being and of society\u201d. He said: \u201cSince 1978 this noble association has been striving for the sake of the human being and the rising generation, and Imam Al-Khoei Mabarrat has been and, God willing, will remain a shining lighthouse of giving wherever it is found. This association has not been remiss in caring for orphans and keeping them away from all the blights that strike our society, and today we are with you to strengthen, endorse, support and patronize sporting activities.\u201d At the close of his speech he offered congratulations to the winners and to the organizers of the sports festival, who had worked tirelessly to make this great sporting event a success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0The ceremony closed with the presentation of honorary shields and the distribution of medals and cups to the winners in the sporting games, the results being as follows: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
