A delegation from the Japanese embassy headed by the ambassador Seiichi Otsuka, accompanied by the development cooperation adviser Midori Barada and the projects officer Acacia Politian, visited Al-Hadi Institution for Hearing and Visual Impairment and Language and Communication Disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was received by the director general of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association Dr Mohammad Baqir Fadlallah, the director of the sponsorship department Jaafar Akil, the institution's director Ismail Al-Zein and the institution's administrative body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The delegation toured the classes of the Al-Nour school for the blind, the Al-Raja school for the deaf and Al-Bayan for those with language and communication disorders, the \u00abBraille\u00bb room, the robotics laboratories and the mathematics workshop, and saw how the equipment recently provided by the Japanese embassy is operated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afterwards the ambassador Otsuka conversed with the students, who told him about their way of learning and about the projects and the prizes they had won, especially the European prize for teaching mathematics through interactive theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The director general of Al-Mabarrat affirmed that \u00abthe association is beginning a new stage, the stage of working on the ten-year plan\u00bb, hoping to \u00abarrive at issuing an accreditation system for a certificate of excellence in the association\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For his part, the ambassador Otsuka praised Al-Hadi Institution and the services of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, expressing his readiness to cooperate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the close of the visit Dr Fadlallah presented a gift to the ambassador Otsuka comprising drawings by the deaf students, booklets about Al-Hadi Institution and its work, and a summary of the executive study of the administrative development programme and its criteria at Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
