The administration of the \u201cMessenger of Love\u201d School in Jbeil, which belongs to Al-Mabarrat schools, held a ceremony honouring the successful students and opening a football pitch, in the presence of a crowd of educational and social figures, Jbeil personalities and parents.\u00a0
Al-Hawat
In a speech he delivered, the president of Jbeil municipality Ziad Al-Hawat saluted \u201cthese Jbeil and national faces, shining in the fields of thought, culture and education, which have come to bear witness to our students and our generations, the builders of the future and the protectors of the hopes placed in them of preserving the unity of the land, the people and the institutions, and the unity of one dignified life among the components of the Lebanese people, founded on justice, equality and respect for opinion and the other opinion through our political system and its national pact of freedom, democracy, the rotation of power and equality of opportunity in rights and duties - for none of us has any merit over another except by what he offers for the sake of the homeland and for the sake of his fellow human being, wherever he may be across all the Lebanese territory\u201d.\u00a0
He addressed the students, saying: \u201cFrom this authentic Jbeil and national educational edifice, we appeal to you to rise above fanaticism, bias and petty matters; for alongside your knowledge you are entrusted with lofty human principles and rules of living with others in peace, reassurance and cooperation. Thus your people and our people lived in the land of Jbeil, and we triumphed through our unity and our awareness over all the internal strifes that came to us from outside. These are our customs and our traditions, which we pass on from generation to generation and which we practise and preserve with sincerity and conviction; they are our ship that will come to rest on the shore of reassurance, stability and success.\u201d\u00a0
Hashem
For his part, the deputy Abbas Hashem congratulated the successful students, saying: \u201cBlessed are you in being the children of Allama Imam Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah, the founder of this educational edifice, and in having drawn from his virtuous life and his upright religious conduct every pride in the truth and support for the wronged, and every moral vigour that raises you up and smooths the way for you. His generous hands brought forth many fine qualities, uprightness of opinion, sharpness of insight and thought, and a blaze of knowledge, until his fame spread throughout the whole East.\u201d
He added: \u201cDo not fall short, our beloved students, in kindness and in the fear of God, nor in love of the homeland and in sacrifice, even to martyrdom, for its remaining sovereign and free. Then your families, those who know you and those around you will rejoice in you; your homeland and your religion will rejoice in you; and your mothers will trill with joy that they have borne men of honour and pride and not petty hangers-on or half-men.\u201d\u00a0
Fadlallah
The director general of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association Dr Mohammad Baqir Fadlallah affirmed that \u201cAl-Mabarrat's schools and its institutions with all their branches and concerns are committed to the thought of their founder His Eminence Allama Marja' Sayyed Fadlallah and to his path of respect for the other, the purity of the other and the humanity of the other. This is what we teach our pupils and the whole Al-Mabarrat family, and we watch closely how it is embodied as conduct, practice and a way of life.\u201d\u00a0
He added: \u201cAl-Mabarrat has proved its strong presence in message-driven and moral educational practice before teaching practice; this is not mere words we utter at this celebration or into the open air.\u201d
He said: \u201cWe believe with all sincerity and all seriousness that the humanity of the human being is fundamental in our dealings and in our view of the other - the view of a brother to us in religion or our like in creation, as Ali said.\u201d
He noted that \u201cthis is the first celebration the Messenger of Love School has held to honour its pupils at the end of the intermediate stage. I should like to point to the mother institution, Al-Mabarrat, the pioneering humanitarian, social and educational organization by the testimony of many official bodies, international organizations and local figures, which will remain a pioneer in applying the principles of education for all and of inclusive education for people with special needs, whether learning difficulties or various developmental disorders - since in its institutions it embraces variety and plurality in terms of difference and diversity in the teaching and educational needs of its pupils and its children.\u201d
He pointed out that Al-Mabarrat \u201chas begun with programmes for the outstanding in an experience based on the international literature and experiences, and we are working to root and institutionalize this experience with documented programmes and clear mechanisms for continuous development so that it may be adopted in all Al-Mabarrat schools - believing that taking up the challenges in the fields of excellence and creativity will contribute to the ascending course of the homeland's journey, which needs creative leaders in knowledge and character and with the ability to influence and to bring about the change sought\u201d.\u00a0
