The Korean battalion serving with the peacekeeping forces in the south offered in-kind donations of clothing and shoes to Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, the relations and sponsorship department, at a ceremony held at its office in Tyre.
Taking part in the ceremony, alongside the Korean battalion's commander Colonel Ham Nam Kyu, were the qaimaqam of Tyre Mohammad Jaffal, the president of the union of Tyre municipalities Abdel Mohsen Al-Husseini, the director of the public relations and sponsorship department at Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association Jaafar Akil, the official for relations in the south Ahmad Hussein, the director of the Tyre office Ibrahim Abd Ali, the deputy president of Tyre municipality Salah Sabraoui, and other figures.
Colonel Nam Kyu delivered a speech in which he said: \u201cI respect and appreciate the sacrifices Al-Mabarrat makes for the sake of attending to the poor; it is like a shining light in Lebanon's sky. The Korean battalion is proud to be part of the activities the association carries out.\u201d
