During his visit to the Doha Al-Mabarrat Educational and Care Complex in Khalde at the southern entrance of Beirut, the president of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association His Eminence Allama Sayyed Ali Fadlallah pointed to the importance of our benefiting from time at the beginnings of the year or at its end, noting that the birth of Christ (peace be upon him) should make us all feel the great responsibility resting on our shoulders to give tidings of goodness and righteousness and to be callers to brotherhood and dialogue at every level.
Sayyed Fadlallah added: \u201cThe challenges convulsing our country are great and many, especially in the shadow of what is happening in the region, and amid the escalation of tensions and divisions and the sectarian, denominational and tribal discourse that accompanies them, which stirs up further problems and crises\u2026\u201d He called for our role to be the role of the firefighter at every level: \u201cInstead of being fuel for sectarian or denominational strife, we must pour water on its fires; and instead of contributing to deepening political strife, we must raise the voice of moderation in the face of it.\u201d
He continued: \u201cIn the midst of this tumult of problems we continue to gaze at the future. From here we look positively at every call for dialogue, and we hold that internal dialogue is the choice that cannot be given up, because bringing down this choice means bringing down the homeland. From here we call on everyone to secure the best climates for internal dialogue, because the challenges facing us do not target one particular party; rather they affect everyone and target the country's unity, its cohesion and even its existence.\u201d
He concluded by affirming that we should be callers to unity however complex the circumstances become, and should not give up this call even if people go east and west; and that we should work to confront strife with the spirit of love, of national and Islamic unity, and of respect for one another's particularities.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
