Fadlallah: Outside Powers Are Exploiting the Plundering That Took Place to Impose Their Conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"

Allama Sayyed Ali Fadlallah patronized the iftar ceremony held by the board of friends of the Imam Al-Rida (a.s.) Mabarra in Nabatieh, in the presence of a number of religious, educational, social and cultural figures and the board's members.
The ceremony opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the graduate Issa Nehmeh, followed by a speech of thanks by the president of the Mabarra's board of friends, Hajjeh Iman Jaber, then a heartfelt item by the Mabarra's children.
The ceremony closed with a speech by Allama Fadlallah, at the start of which he thanked the board of friends of the Imam Al-Rida (a.s.) Mabarra for its efforts and its offerings, praising its constant standing alongside this institution and its constant effort to supply it with every kind of support and offering - especially as the homeland is living through crises that leave their negative repercussions on the institutions' work and form a great obstacle before their offerings.
His Eminence added: This is an occasion to thank God, who has provided for us in this homeland everyone who works for good, offers assistance to the poor and the needy, and is a refuge and a help to orphans.
His Eminence continued: The finest thing in this month is what we witness throughout this homeland of gatherings held under the banner of goodness, love and self-sacrifice - like this blessed gathering and others - so that together we may offer goodness to people, all people, especially in these harsh circumstances in which God tests His servants to show the extent of their commitment to the responsibility and the trust He has placed on their shoulders, and the extent to which they discharge it in the best way\u2026
His Eminence affirmed that the homeland is passing through a great crisis at every level, which adds to the burdens on these institutions that exist to serve their society, to work to lift it up and to ease its pains and crises. He pointed out that these institutions are from society and to society, which has supported them and placed its trust in them, and therefore they need every kind of care and support in order to face this crisis we are suffering.
His Eminence called for raising the voice high in the face of all who impoverished this homeland, squandered its public money and the money of the people and the depositors, brought it to this slope of collapse, and made it loiter at the door of this state or that international body. We have said it before and we renew it today: these states and these international institutions do not give for nothing; they work to impose harsh conditions, exploiting our weakness and the poor management of the country by the system that has ruled the country for decades, which in the main exploited its positions and harnessed them to serve its factional and private interests under titles and pretexts of restoring the rights of this region or that sect.
His Eminence went on: We say to this class: enough recklessness with the people of this homeland and enough tampering with its resources and its wealth. Review your accounts and your conscience, for people have become more aware and no longer accept the continuation of their exploitation, and they will express this anger with their voice, their word and their stance.
His Eminence concluded: We are able to overcome this difficult stage through the joining of all efforts and through working to build the state of the human being and of citizenship, far from any other considerations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
