Under the patronage and in the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar, Al-Hadi Institution for Language and Communication Disorders, in partnership and cooperation with Dar Meem for Cultural Production, organized a virtual celebration at the level of the Arab world at the close of the month of awareness about autism spectrum disorder, with the participation of 13 centres concerned with treating the autism spectrum from 9 Arab countries: Morocco, Yemen, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Egypt, Palestine and Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The celebration was attended by representatives of the Lebanese Ministry of Education, participating members of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network in Lebanon, representatives of the network of schools associated with the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO), a number of coordinators from Al-Mabarrat's schools and from various schools in Lebanon, alongside a number of the students' families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The celebration included varied awareness items centred on the autism spectrum, among them a video of greetings from children on the autism spectrum in a number of Arab centres, a short film on teaching pupils on the autism spectrum at Al-Hadi Institution, a \u201cstoryteller\u201d item consisting of an interactive story about autism spectrum disorder presented by the Qatari storyteller Ibrahim Al-Bishri, and the clown \u201cMoo\u201d item, which centred on the idea of using symbols and images to learn about Arab cities and countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is noted that this celebration is the first of its kind at the level of Lebanon and the Arab world. It sought to acquaint the Arab public with the cause of people on the autism spectrum through simplified, smooth and engaging methods, and was able to bring together a varied audience in order to urge the children of Arab society to help children and young people on the autism spectrum to integrate and take part properly in our Arab societies.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
