Allama Sayyed Ali Fadlallah mourned the president of the intellectual forum for reviving the Amili heritage and the imam of the town of Aynata, Sayyed Ali Abdul Latif Fadlallah (may God have mercy on him), who passed away today. The obituary statement read:
\u201cWhen a scholar dies, a breach is made in Islam that nothing can close until the Day of Resurrection.\u201d
With the deepest regret and sorrow, we received the news of the death of His Eminence Sayyed Ali Abdul Latif Fadlallah (may God have mercy on him), who was a mission-driven scholar who lived his life in the service of Islam, Muslims, the poor and the needy; who stood against occupation, injustice and corruption; who worked to revive the heritage of Jabal Amel; and who was among the advocates of Islamic and national unity and those who worked to present the bright image of Islam on the path of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
