“Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association” honoured the media people of Baalbek and its own pupils who had passed the intermediate certificate and those who had excelled in educational, artistic and sporting contests, competitions and activities, in the presence of the director general of Al-Mabarrat Association Mohammad Baqir Fadlallah, the director supervising Al-Mabarrat schools in the central Bekaa Ibrahim Al-Saeed, the principal of Al-Bashaer Itidal Al-Jamal, and educational figures.
Al-Saeed said: “Here in this edifice, built by the hands of the master of goodness, piety and giving, the late Marja' Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah, we meet in the shade of a group of those whom the Sayyed loved in his lifetime - the people of the responsible word and of purposeful, aware media. As we celebrate with the media people to honour a class of our creative students at Al-Bashaer High School, we must live knowledge not in order to obtain a job but in order to create, to rise and to be elevated; and we must live it as piety in our minds and as a prayer by which we draw near to God Almighty. The more sincere we are to our knowledge, the more God supplies us with progress, awareness and planning for the future we want - a renaissance for our children in all fields.” He called for “each one of us to become a human being who carries love in his heart, mercy in his movement and openness to people in his life; for through them we set out in our great causes, which represent our freedom”.
