The administration of Al-Mabarrat Charitable schools in Ali Al-Nahri organized an exhibition for university and vocational guidance under the patronage of the director of the Faculty of Public Health - Fourth Branch Dr Hussein Nassar, in which twenty official and private universities and institutes took part, in the presence of the principal of Imam Al-Jawad High School and Imam Al-Kadhim schools Souad Marah, directors and representatives of the universities, and a crowd of students.
To begin with, verses from the Holy Quran, then the national anthem, then Marah delivered a speech in which she held that this exhibition makes room for you to choose the university specialization that suits your vocational inclinations, because if a person works in a profession he loves he is creative in it and achieves many successes.
She added: Be aware and discerning; let your choice be purposeful, built on sound rational thinking and issuing from will and determination. For you are the mirror that reflects the image of renewal and life for a homeland wasted by lethargy and dominated by apathy. From you we draw hope for a better future for our society, and with you we fight ignorance and backwardness, so as to rebuild values that the culture of racism has demolished.
Then Nassar delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the institution of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, founded and cared for by His Eminence the Marja' Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah, plays an important role in the quiet raising up of the nation and especially of its young people and in pushing them towards progress and development. He, God have mercy on him, always affirmed that the question of the mind remains fundamental in the Islamic line, and he used to ask us to purify our ideas of superstitions and intellectual backwardness. He pointed out that Al-Mabarrat Association has played an important and fundamental role in the Bekaa's cultural and educational renaissance, calling for a genuine partnership and cooperation between the private and official educational institutions to complete this renaissance, and expressing the Faculty of Health's readiness to cooperate and coordinate in all fields - vocational, educational and research - for the good of our children and our region.
Nassar explained that Al-Jawad High School is a fundamental tributary among the tributaries of the Faculty of Public Health in Al-Karak, since the high school's graduates make up 17 per cent of the total of our students, noting that those who came first in the laboratory, health work and radiology sections in the entrance contest are from Al-Jawad.
He announced that the Faculty is in the process of expanding its premises, which will allow us to increase the specializations, and that we shall open the postgraduate studies section for laboratory, nursing and midwifery as soon as the building is ready.
Afterwards everyone moved to the museum hall and toured the exhibition's grounds.
