The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon Affirms Its Commitment to Its Social Role During Crises

The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) affirmed its firm commitment to its social role, pointing to its active work in supporting families affected by the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, as part of a plan built on empowering students and strengthening their participation in serving the community.

The university explained in a statement that the initiatives began “from the student community and back to it”, with multiple forms of support provided to students, graduates and staff, helping to strengthen their resilience in the face of challenges. It also stressed that students were a cornerstone in carrying out these initiatives, through their active participation in volunteer work, alongside fruitful cooperation with partner bodies that helped broaden the scope of support and secure resources.

The statement revealed that the university, through its offices and student clubs and with its partners' contributions, was able to reach 1,436 families, providing a wide package of aid and services.
