Imam “Al-Jawad” and Imam “Al-Kadhim” High Schools, which belong to the “Al-Mabarrat Charitable” Association in the Bekaa, held the graduation ceremony of their students who had completed the secondary stage in its branches (general sciences, life sciences, sociology and economics), under the patronage of the director general of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association Dr Mohammad Baqir Fadlallah, represented by the general religious supervisor at Al-Mabarrat Association Dr Jaafar Fadlallah, and in the presence of educational and social figures.

To begin with, the national anthem, followed by the anthem of the two high schools' silver jubilee, then the entry of the graduates, then the showing of a filmed reel about the outstanding graduate, first in Lebanon in the life sciences branch, the student Ahmad Al-Attar, who delivered the graduates' speech, in which he said: “From the message of the late Sayyed - which is the message of Al-Mabarrat schools - we receive the culture of dialogue and of accepting the other and acquire humane, moral and social values; indeed we draw inspiration from moderate critical thought, so as to confront with it a band who kill and slaughter the innocent and distort the image of Islam under the pretext of defending God and His Messenger, as though they were God's messengers and prophets.”

Afterwards, Jaafar Fadlallah delivered a speech in which he said: “When Sayyed Fadlallah laid the foundation stone of any building, he used to say that these buildings would embrace the journey of a human being who moves by the strength of faith and the firmness of a will that draws its resolve from God and from the movement of thought, and who reconsiders everything he inherits from his fathers and his forefathers. He meant to say that these buildings and institutions embrace the movement of a new society.”

He added: “It is no wonder that today we find outstanding and creative people setting out from a land of misery and deprivation, standing at the forefront of the journey in this country, and then setting out from this small country to be a lighthouse and a radiance to the world.”

He concluded by saying: “We possess an effective mind, a strong will and a firm resolve, with which we can turn dust into gold; therefore we cannot allow anyone to make us despair or be discouraged. We must plan for the future, so as to produce a social victory, a political victory, an educational victory, a psychological and intellectual victory, and a victory at every level. This is what we need when we stand at a celebration of the creative and the outstanding.”

The ceremony closed with the distribution of certificates and shields to the graduates and the presentation of cash gifts to the outstanding students.
