«Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association» seeks to educate its children «in all circumstances», raising the slogan «no retreat», according to its director Mohammad Baqir Fadlallah speaking to «Al-Safir» - this after terrorism targeted the Hermel area several times, specifically where one of the association's branches was a few metres from the site of the explosion. Given the present security conditions, Fadlallah notes that the association decided to cancel its central iftars for the month of Ramadan, which coincides with the fourth anniversary of the departure of the founder, the Marja' Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah. The association also decided to cancel the official ceremony for security reasons.
Four years after the absence of Allama Fadlallah, the association is launching «the strategic development plan for the second decade», and is working on «establishing the most advanced centre for multiple disabilities at Al-Hadi Institution, expanding the Dar Al-Aman hospital for the elderly in Abbassieh in south Lebanon, in addition to other centres», according to the association's director.
He adds: «We have translated the Sayyed's aspirations so that the association may become more closely linked to the aims for which it was set up. This development has covered the plans and the clear, long-range aims», noting that the association «has proceeded according to the institutional framework based on applying quality systems, such as the financial and administrative systems, the archiving system, the systems of oversight and auditing, and the drawing up of clear lines for the job titles».
Fadlallah affirms that the fundamental aim of «the association's accomplishments is to preserve the trust of the people and of society, to communicate with others and to meet through dialogue. Along this path Al-Mabarrat has proceeded in adopting the principle of education in dialogue as a fundamental component of its programmes; and proceeding from this vision it set about building a living experience, working to produce religious programmes and teaching curricula that express this vision clearly.»
