The Dar Al-Aman hospital for the care of the elderly and the Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa health and social centre (Abbassieh), both belonging to Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, launched a health and social initiative entitled “Your Health Is Safe”, aiming to provide health services and varied assistance to elderly people in their homes.
The initiative rests on a specialized medical team from the hospital and the centre visiting elderly people in their homes, to see their health situation and provide them with the medicines they need.
Food parcels will also be provided to them, in addition to a set of cleaning and sterilizing materials and masks.
The medical team will also work on explaining the dangers of the coronavirus epidemic, how to guard against it, and the necessary instructions issued by the competent bodies. This initiative targets the neediest elderly people living in the area of the towns of Abbassieh, Yater and Jwaya in the southern region as a first stage, to be completed later in other towns
