In the atmosphere of Lebanon's Independence Day and in tribute to the noble efforts of the valiant Lebanese Army, the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL), in cooperation with the Arab Open University, organized a friendly football match with the Lebanese Army team, which ended in a 4-4 draw between the two sides. The match was played on the pitch of the Ghobeiry municipality complex and was attended by Brigadier General Mohammad Fassai for the Lebanese Army; Dr. Ghadi Moqallad, Firas Adada and coach Zakaria Sharara for the Arab Open University; and Dr. Nasri Harb, Dr. Ahmad Fadlallah and coach Ali Al-Hajj Hassan for the University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL). The occasion was also marked by the participation of a number of students. At the close of the match commemorative shields were exchanged between the two teams and commemorative photographs were taken.
