As part of their efforts to develop the educational process and build their students' life skills, Al-Mabarrat schools implemented the global Skills Builder programme across all educational stages, from kindergarten through to the third secondary year.
The programme is based on eight essential skills and six guiding principles, which were embedded across all subjects: problem solving was emphasized in the sciences, leadership and teamwork in social studies, creativity in the arts, and listening and speaking skills in Arabic, English and French.
The schools were careful to embed the skills in classroom and extracurricular activities, through varied educational applications and community initiatives that reflect a well-rounded learning environment. The teaching staff also took specialized online training courses supervised by the Skills Builder team, followed by internal workshops to consolidate the concepts and strengthen teaching practice.
The programme's impact was not limited to students and teachers but extended to parents as well, through training meetings and effective communication, which helped strengthen the educational partnership between family and school.
Those running the programme affirm that this initiative is in keeping with Al-Mabarrat schools' vision of building the pupil's well-rounded character and preparing them for active engagement in school and community life through acquiring twenty-first century skills
