The vocational institutes belonging to Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association - Ali Al-Akbar Vocational and Technical Institute, the Lady Sukayna Technical Institute for Girls, Al-Hadi Institution for Hearing and Visual Impairment, and the Al-Mabarrat Institute for Health Sciences - held a graduation ceremony for their students who passed all the official vocational certificates, in the Lady Al-Zahraa (a.s.) hall at the Al-Imamain Al-Hasanain (a.s.) complex in Haret Hreik, in the presence of the Director General of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah, the directors of Al-Mabarrat's vocational institutes, social and educational figures, directors from the association's institutions, and the honoured families.
At the outset, the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, then the national anthem, after which an artistic item presented by the choir of the Lady Khadija Mabarra entitled “The Most Beautiful Names of God”, followed by the screening of a video containing testimonies from the graduates of Al-Mabarrat's vocational institutes.
Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah delivered a speech on the occasion in which he blessed the students' success from all the institutes, then extended his thanks to those working in the teaching field, saying: “At Al-Mabarrat we resolved to teach so that a learner might learn how to invest what they have learned by developing the mind, thinking and practical experience - and our gathering today is with institutes whose work is based on experiment. We note that this development is what achieved for humanity its progress, its flourishing and its growth at every level, and what achieved for humankind qualitative leaps at the level of its scientific and technical development, which was positively reflected in a person's lifespan, their way of living and the affirming of their existence from a position of strength rather than of weakness..”
He added: “At our launch, while building the vocational institutions, we focused on knowledge joined to work and experience, beginning with the orphans who are in the greatest need of someone to care for them. We at Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association were pioneers, and our care institutions became care-and-teaching institutions, since teaching is paired with care at all Al-Mabarrat's institutions. And here are some of those in the care institutions attaining high and advanced grades in all the official certificates, as well as distinction in knowledge, in morals and in the movement of life.. Here I would like to note the distinction of some institutes in their attention to educational inclusion for those with learning difficulties, as well as their attention to the high-achieving. We note that this helps change society's culture in terms of accepting difference, strengthening a culture of tolerance and cooperation, and changing the attitudes of pupils and staff - which adds human dimensions and greater confidence in these pupils' capacities.”
He addressed the students being honoured, saying: “We take pride in you, dear honoured ones - young men and women in the age of flowers, those who passed the BP certificate and will complete the journey with every seriousness and vitality; those who passed the BT certificate and are preparing for a university life of greater breadth and less supervision; and those who passed the TS and LT certificates, who will set off to the labour market, to other harbours, with all they have of knowledge, expertise, experience and morals.”
Fadlallah concluded by saying: “Today we bid you farewell with hearts at ease about what Al-Mabarrat has deposited in you of the secrets of belonging to the straight mission-driven path. There is no fear for you, because you are the children of Al-Mabarrat. Be the example and the model wherever you are - you are the children of the school of the Sayyed(RA) the pioneer and the model, who used to address you: “Dear ones, be the high achievers, be forward-looking.” Be faithful to the one who founded the edifices of Al-Mabarrat; embody the dream in the details of his life; come to know his thought - he who was fuel for the mind, a pulse for the heart and a radiance for the spirit. Do not listen to those who twist words among the falsifiers, and to those who sell their hereafter for their worldly life among the backward and the superstitious, who buy consciences and commit falsehoods.
The ceremony closed with the distribution of shields to the high-achieving students and certificates to all the graduates.
