Under the patronage and in the presence of the Director General of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah, Imam Al-Rida Charity marked the birth anniversary of Imam Ali Ibn Musa Al-Rida with a special celebration that included the opening of a mini-football pitch, attended by educational and social figures and the charity's children.
The ceremony opened with a blessed recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by singing from the charity's ensemble. The charity's director, Ms. Rabiaa Al-Faqih, delivered a speech in which she reviewed the charity's main achievements and its educational and social services, and paid tribute to the soul of the martyr Mohammad Hassan Imad Jaber, in appreciation of his role in supporting the building of the new pitch.
Dr. Fadlallah delivered a speech for the occasion in which he congratulated those present, describing the birth of Imam Al-Rida as “a historic event and a flowing light that guides hearts”, and stressing that the Imam was a model of knowledge, wisdom and openness, and an example of patience and mercy.
He said: “The charity draws from Imam Al-Rida the values of hastening to meet people's needs, with the good word, the open mind and the merciful heart”, renewing the pledge that the charity will remain a beacon of giving with its doors open to everyone in need, bearing the name of Imam Al-Rida as a byword for upbringing, values and quiet service.
At the close of the ceremony, the mini-football pitch was opened amid an atmosphere of joy, and those present watched a friendly match between the charity's children.
