The University of Sciences and Arts in Lebanon (USAL) held a blood donation day within the university campus entitled “A Drop of Blood.. A Pulse of Life”, in cooperation with Al-Zahraa Hospital and the DSC association.
At the outset the organizers acquainted the students with the extent of the contribution a donor makes in saving lives and improving the health of others in society. Then came an explanation of the importance of donating blood and of the continuous global need for blood donation campaigns.
It is noted that this activity, which falls within the framework of the “community responsibility programme” organized by the university's student affairs office, was marked by wide and active participation from the students, who provided blood units for more than 135 people.
