A Message from the Director General of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association to Teachers on Their Day

Teachers' Day falls this year while Lebanon is passing through one of its most challenging periods. These are days that have weighed on hearts because of current events and a harsh war, and faces have filled with anxiety and apprehension. Many staff members have been displaced from their homes and villages, leaving behind a lifetime's labor, overwhelmed by feelings of sorrow and estrangement far from their safety and their memories. Yet faithful hearts take refuge in God in times of hardship, drawing serenity from His mercy and, from His generous promise, a hope that lights up the darkness…

These are moments in which God's care shines in the hearts of the patient, awakening in us the values of compassion and solidarity that give our society strength and steadfastness in the face of storms. At the heart of this ordeal, the value of educational work shines more than ever, because Al-Mabarrat schools were founded as a mission to build the human being who knows their Lord and is guided by the light of knowledge and faith. Education opens the doors of hope and knowledge before the generations, so that the nation may rest on the arms of its children and their hearts may meet in goodness.

Al-Mabarrat schools take pride in all those who work in them, and in their teachers who carry this mission with deep awareness and with human and mission-driven commitment, making education a path for shaping a human being capable of facing challenges with their values, their mind and their faith…. 🔸We are certain that you are all true partners in continuing to educate and teach however harsh the circumstances, in order to build a human being who contributes to the advancement of their society and nation with beneficial knowledge and a heart filled with faith…

Amid what our country is living through, Al-Mabarrat has been keen for its institutions to remain a space of embrace and safety, drawing on the meaning of mutual support to which God calls in His noble Book. It opened its doors to receive some two thousand displaced staff members and their families, affirming the meaning of a single family that shares responsibility and whose hearts show compassion to one another in hardship, praying to God to place this work in the balance of goodness and blessing…

Teachers' Day comes today for us to affirm the depth of the loyalty and appreciation we hold for you, for you are at the heart of Al-Mabarrat's journey, and your giving remains the light that dispels the darkness of these days.

Dear colleagues..

In this difficult period, patience shines in its finest form, as the month of Ramadan has taught us. From its nights we draw the meanings of holding fast to the rope of God, as blessings flow to plant in our souls the certainty that every ordeal has a dawn of hope, and a light that steadies our steps amid the storms.

The Al-Mabarrat teacher is the best example of this luminous patience, carrying their mission with heart, mind and faith, and continuing, amid these harsh circumstances, as a living symbol of steadfastness and certainty. They carry their trust wherever they are, spreading hope in hearts and reminding souls of God's mercy and kindness, giving those forced to leave their homes a sense of serenity and reassurance, and nourishing in hearts that sincere longing to return, to the birthplace of the heart, always sheltered by God's care and providence, which never falters nor sleeps.

Teachers and care supervisors of Al-Mabarrat… you are the giving, you are the mission, and you are the renewed hope of a nation that looks to its revival through the knowledge of its children and the blessing of their sincerity…

In conclusion, to all our loved ones among the teachers and staff across the institutions in all their variety: we ask God to protect you and your families, to grant you an abundance of His serenity and mercy, and to bless our country with security and stability.

And to all the people of Al-Mabarrat who have lost loved ones, family or friends, we send our warmest words of condolence and sympathy, asking God to envelop the martyrs in His vast mercy, to grant the wounded healing and well-being, and to pour into all hearts patience and certainty in God, and to give you faith, strength and steadfastness in facing the storms and challenges.

“Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of God. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of God hearts are assured.”
