Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association launched at the Al-Hawraa Mabarra its charitable programme for the blessed month of Ramadan in the central Bekaa area, during a meeting in which the mothers of the Mabarra's children took part, amid strict preventive measures.

The programme aims to secure daily iftar meals for hundreds of families of orphans, the poor and the needy, alongside securing food parcels containing the basic components families need (sugar, rice, oil, pulses, flour and other items). The Mabarra also secures daily portions of vegetables consisting of the basic ingredients for fattoush, with bread and plates of sweets.

The families also benefit from vouchers for refilling a gas cylinder, within the initiative launched by the orphans' stations, which has reached more than 30,000 families of limited means.

The director of the Al-Hawraa Mabarra Ibrahim Al-Saeed affirmed in his speech before the mothers the importance of social solidarity among the Lebanese in the blessed month of Ramadan, especially amid the difficult living conditions we are living through.

Al-Saeed stressed “the importance of the educational and teaching role the mothers play in following up their children at this stage, by attending to the spiritual side and strengthening their children's engagement on the electronic platform of Al-Mabarrat's schools”.

He added: “We thank the administration and staff of Al-Bashaer High School, which belongs to Al-Mabarrat, for their volunteering and their cooperation in preparing, organizing and packing the meals and parcels for the families.”

He concluded: “Al-Mabarrat will remain alongside the people with all its means despite the intensification of the crises, and its working team is ready to offer them any possible support.”
