Al-Mabarrat's Al-Kawthar Secondary School and Al-Hadi School Receive Platinum-Level Green Environmental School Accreditation

شهادة Green Schools مؤطرة ممنوحة لثانوية الكوثر بمجموع 50 نقطة خضراء معلقة على حامل | A framed Green Schools certificate awarded to Al Kawthar Secondary School with 50 green points

Al-Kawthar High School and the school of Al-Hadi Institution for Hearing and Visual Impairment and Language and Communication Disorders, both belonging to Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, obtained green environmental school accreditation at the platinum level, after meeting the criteria required to obtain the certificate, such as recycling, waste treatment, water conservation, rationalizing energy consumption, strengthening safety and public health, adopting sustainable education and increasing green spaces.

The two institutions documented all their adopted environmental practices, which were then subject to audit visits from the accrediting body.

Since their founding the two institutions have sought to be among the institutions that support the environment and are friendly to it, which has been manifested in the policies and systems adopted and in building partnerships with the local community, as well as in the environmental education programme adopted by Al-Mabarrat's schools, which targets the segments of the school community - pupils, teachers, staff and families. They continuously make improvements to the buildings and to the environment-supporting policies and systems.

It is noted that the “Green School” certificate is granted to green, environmentally friendly schools; it is held every two years and organized by the e-Eco Solution company in cooperation with the Ministries of Environment and of Education and Higher Education in Lebanon and in partnership with the US Green Schools Center.
