In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

“And give glad tidings to the patient - those who, when disaster strikes them, say: Indeed we belong to God, and indeed to Him we return” [Surat Al-Baqara: 155-157].

Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association extends to the Lebanese and to the families of the martyrs, the wounded and the missing its sincerest condolences and its sense of deep sorrow at this calamity, which has left enormous, unprecedented destruction in our country Lebanon and in our beloved capital Beirut.

In this context Al-Mabarrat calls on all the Lebanese in every area to stand as one rank to address the repercussions of this catastrophe, and on the necessity of rising to the highest degrees of national solidarity. It also calls on everyone to offer all they can to soothe the wounds and to come to the aid of the families who have been left without shelter.

The association looks to our Arab brothers and our brothers in the Islamic countries to extend a helping hand, and likewise looks to friends around the world and to the Lebanese and Arabs in the countries of emigration to show their devotion and their love in supporting Beirut and Lebanon.

Al-Mabarrat announces its standing alongside its people with all its health, shelter, human and scouting means. Since yesterday it has accompanied the events and developments and still does so, and it is working at every level to secure what it can of the needs of our people in the homeland.

In closing, we ask God Almighty to grant our people patience and success in overcoming this calamity, and to grant wellbeing to all those working to evacuate the victims, lift the rubble, ease the pain and help the stricken families.
