A delegation from Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, headed by the Director General Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah, visited the Minister of Social Affairs Ms. Haneen Al-Sayed at her office in the Ministry. He was accompanied by the director of the Al-Hadi Foundation for Hearing and Visual Impairment, Language and Communication Disorders Sheikh Ismail Al-Zein, the director of the Doha Al-Mabarrat Care Complex Dr. Mohammad Gharib, the director of Lady Khadija Al-Kubra Charity Hajjeh Alia Karim, the coordinator of the Directorate of Care Affairs Mr. Ibrahim Alaeddine, and the head of external relations and media at the Al-Hadi Foundation Ms. Abeer Habib, with Ms. Marie Ghaya attending from the Ministry.
During the meeting, a detailed presentation was given of the Association's programmes and its social and care institutions, and of its role in supporting orphans, people with special needs and those in need across the Lebanese regions.
The delegation stressed the importance of cooperation and complementarity between the Ministry and the Association with the aim of developing services and strengthening social engagement.
For her part, Minister Al-Sayed commended the leading humanitarian role of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, affirming “her support for initiatives that help improve the state of social care in Lebanon”. She also praised what she had seen during her visit to the Al-Hadi Foundation in terms of the variety of services and their positive effect on the pupils.
At the close of the meeting, Dr. Fadlallah presented a copy of the book “Administrative Development”, expressing the Association's readiness to cooperate with the Ministry in this field.
