The opening speech was delivered by the student Lama Mohieddine, who pointed out that “the message of Islam is a message of mercy and life whose light shines upon the universe and radiates”. She said: “Here we are today, the children of Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah, striving to prove to the whole world that the religion of Islam is a religion of openness and goodness, and that the prophet of mercy is an exceptional figure who came to save the nations from the darknesses of ignorance to the light of life. And so came the (I Love Muhammad) project, to be a station of joy in the city of Nabatieh, which deserves joy.”
Then the high school's principal Professor Soulaf Hashem delivered a speech in which she said: “Today's station is a link in a chain of activities held in partnership with the municipality of Nabatieh; together we have been spreading goodness in the social projects, and together we have been present in the cultural and health activities.”
She added: “What distinguishes the ‘I Love Muhammad' activity is that it was funded by the students of Al-Rahma High School, as a prelude to many activities that offer them the opportunity to bring out their talents and their ideas before their local community, away from the school benches. But this would not have become a reality without the joined efforts of the participants, their cooperation and their affection.”
Then the director of the religious supervision department Sheikh Fouad Khreiss delivered a speech in which he said: “To love Muhammad means to follow in his footsteps in ease and in hardship, and to live love for God and love for people, just as his heart beat with the greatest love for God and the truest love for people.”
For his part, Sadek Ismail delivered a speech on behalf of the president of the municipal council of the city of Nabatieh Dr Ahmad Kuhail, who praised “the role of Al-Rahma High School” and affirmed “the importance of the cooperation that always bears goodness and benefit for society”.
In conclusion, shields were distributed to those who contributed to the activity, after which the ribbon was cut and the sculpture unveiled.
