Al-Bashaer High School honoured its teachers at a lunch it held at the Qasr Baalbek restaurant, under the patronage of the Director General of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association Sayyed Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah, and in the presence of the supervising director of Al-Mabarrat's schools in the central Bekaa and director of the Al-Hawraa (a.s.) Mabarra Hajj Ibrahim Al-Saeed, the school's director Mrs. Itidal Al-Jamal, and a number of supervisors alongside the administrative and teaching bodies.

The ceremony opened to the strains of the national anthem, followed by a fragrant recitation of verses from the Holy Book in the voice of Mr. Qassem Shoaib. Ms. Abeer Yaghi then delivered a speech on behalf of the teaching body, in which she thanked the general administration of Al-Mabarrat Association for its constant standing alongside its people and its continuous support for its teachers despite the difficult circumstances the country is witnessing, pledging that Al-Bashaer would remain a leader in the fields of knowledge, achievement and distinction at the level of the area and the homeland. Dr. Fadlallah to the teachers: “You are the nearest and dearest, whom Al-Mabarrat will not abandon in times of hardship”

The ceremony's patron, the Director General of Al-Mabarrat, delivered a speech in which he affirmed that Al-Mabarrat, despite the difficulties, will continue to devote itself to loving people, giving to them and helping them in all the fields in which it works - and those nearest have the first claim, “and you are the nearest and dearest, whom Al-Mabarrat will not abandon in times of hardship”.

He addressed the teachers, saying: “Dear ones, on Teacher's Day we must renew our resolve and our self-confidence with high spirit, seriousness, energy, patience and good work. We must not tire or weary; we must keep creating what is new and overcome time with creative energies despite the scale of exhaustion and psychological fatigue amid the deteriorating economic and living conditions, and despite reconciling the job with the conditions of living - as well as accepting the changeable psychological moods of the pupils and communicating with the families to help charge their children with positive energy.”

The ceremony closed with the honouring of those who have given between 5 and 25 years of service at Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association and of the winners of the Lady Al-Zahraa (a.s.) competition. Commemorative photographs were taken.
