As is her custom in the holiday seasons, and on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, the UN ambassador Dr Salwa Ghaddar Younes patronized a recreational ceremony for the children of Al-Mabarrat and the orphans, which brought together about 750 boys and girls from the schools of Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association and from the orphanages spread across most of the Lebanese regions.
This took place in the presence of a number of businesswomen and society ladies, presidents of associations, writers and media people.
The ceremony included a play specially for children by the Karim Dakroub troupe, followed by a morning breakfast banquet, then the distribution to them of symbolic gifts, with which Dr Salwa was keen to draw joy on their faces.
In conclusion a lunch was held in honour of those present at the Al-Saha restaurant, which included heartfelt words by Dr Nour Salman, Dr Michel Juha and Hajja Fadia Diab the president of the association's Women's Body, all of whom agreed in praising Dr Younes's initiative, to which she replied with a salute, thanking all those who watch over the institution and its children and all the associations active in the same field.
