Pupils from Al-Mabarrat's schools took part in the competition “Tell Me a Story” (Raconte-moi une histoire), organized by the Educational Centre for Research and Development in cooperation with the Hatem bookshop, for the second and fifth basic grades, on writing a story in French about the cedar tree.
The first places in the competition, in which many Lebanese schools took part, were won by:
Zahraa Janbieh / Alaa Janbieh / Maryam Bazzi / Ali Omar / Zeinab Mansour / Saleh Zein / Karim Kazma (from the fifth grade at Imam Al-Hassan High School).
Ali Al-Rida Yassine / Areej Al-Moussawi / Zahraa Romani / Manisa Badreddine (from the second grade at Al-Kawthar High School)
Raya Suleiman (from the second grade at Imam Al-Kadhim High School)
It should be noted that the competition's results were announced after the participating pupils presented their stories directly to the organizing body via the Zoom programme, and after a discussion during which they expressed their happiness at writing despite this ordeal Lebanon is passing through.
It is noted that the Hatem bookshop will publish the winning stories among its story publications, in addition to granting the winning pupils in-kind prizes.
