The student at Al-Rahma High School, which belongs to Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association, Fatima Hjeij won the post of prime minister in the “Students' Parliament” organized by Saint Joseph University. She was chosen on the basis of the work programme she presented, whose introduction included the following text: “We will work on proposing a draft law that respects all the sects and affirms that the right person should be in the right place - the person distinguished by his competence, his accomplishments and his will, which brings about reform and change far from political sectarianism. And because humanity is our banner, the law on refugees, who have no defined destiny, must be reconsidered. Our country has oil wealth that must be protected and invested in development by drawing up a sustainable, long-range plan, while accelerating and proceeding with its implementation. In conclusion, the joining of arms builds the homeland, and the joining of hearts eases the ordeals; tomorrow we shall have a homeland that creates from the differing opinions of its people a strength that unites it and raises it up on high. Long may you live, and long live Lebanon, sovereign, free, proud and independent.”

Fatima Hjeij will take part in a programme prepared by Saint Joseph University, through which she will be able to become acquainted with the foundations of communication, public speaking and negotiation; this will be followed by a visit of the students' parliament government to the parliament and a meeting with the deputies, followed by a closing session of the youth government.
