The “Al-Mabarrat Charitable” Association held an honouring dinner for the medical staff in the district of Bint Jbeil, in the presence of social figures, hospital directors, doctors and male and female nurses.
The ceremony opened with clear verses from the Wise Remembrance, followed by the Lebanese national anthem, then girls from Al-Sayyeda Mariam Mabarrat in Jouaiya presented the song “Welcome and Greetings” in celebration of those present.
Afterwards there was a welcoming speech by the director of the Islamic Cultural Centre Shafic Al-Moussawi, in which he held that “goodness pervades Al-Mabarrat through the blessing of the good people and the generous hands that have never for a day stopped supporting Al-Mabarrat's journey”.
Al-Droubi
Then came a speech for the city's doctors presented by Dr Siham Al-Droubi, in which she thanked “those in charge of Al-Mabarrat and the social, educational, teaching and living assistance they provide to the sons of the homeland, whose efforts will certainly bear fruit in generations of dreamers and strivers who represent a promising future and a shining sun in Al-Mabarrat's journey”.
In his speech Dr Jaafar Fadlallah expressed “the joy that stirs within us at the coming of the good people and their constant support for Al-Mabarrat”, noting that “the doctor is the one who is concerned with treating the sick and those who have ailments; how then could he not be among those who feel their responsibilities towards society and support the journey of goodness, when he is the person most knowledgeable about people's conditions and problems?”
