Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association's institutions marked the seventy-ninth anniversary of Lebanon's independence with a series of varied activities and celebrations. They visited the Lebanese Army barracks in Beirut, Hermel and Byblos and the air and naval bases in Beirut, in addition to field visits to heritage sites in the various areas and towns. They also exchanged views on the concept of independence, and learned about the steps of amending the constitution, the French position on the amendment, and the popular and official reaction of the Lebanese.

They also watched a video entitled “The Story of Independence”, made drawings and carried candles with the intention of peace and safety, wishing goodness for all the Lebanese.

The Al-Mabarrat Scouts Association carried out a scout march in the town of Taanayel, which featured a visit to the air base in Riyaq and the planting of cedar trees. They then visited the archaeological citadel of Baalbek and held celebrations inside the troops' centres.
