Al-Mabarrat Launches New Training Modules for Its Future Staff

The human resources department at Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association launched the second training unit in the administrative development programme (3), entitled “Human Resources Management”, to train 95 staff, coinciding with its publication of the book “Harvest of Administrative Development 2”, under the patronage and in the presence of the Association's Director General Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah.

Before the training workshops began, Dr. Fadlallah delivered a speech in which he said: “We are here today for two training days to affirm that through renewed knowledge we carry on the path of the defenders and the resisters, by raising the standing of our institutions. Training has become one of the necessities of institutional, individual and personal development, and forms the basic pillar for an institution to take off, increase its ability to compete and continue, and offer everything new and advanced.”

He added: “The trainee must possess inner motivation, meaning that they are spontaneously driven by their eagerness to receive, then to work and to master, whether the external circumstances around them are favourable or not. Those who possess high inner motivation are not moved by the desire to win particular material or non-material incentives so much as by the desire to prove themselves and their competence, first to themselves and then to others. At times the inwardly motivated person works with great energy for the enjoyment of the work itself, and not to obtain some external incentive.”

He affirmed that: “Training is the lever for achieving excellence in human potential. Hence the administrative development programme, which began twenty years ago with its varied units, is an opportunity for teaching and empowerment and for opening horizons before the serious-minded to gain the knowledge and skills that qualify them to take up any post in the educational institutions, since its units cover varied content needed by educator and administrator alike.”

Fadlallah noted that Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association: “began the administrative development programme (3) with the general administrative skills unit, on which a fine group of staff trained over four days (career planning, implementation planning, the concept of delegation and empowerment…), and it continues with the human resources management unit, for which a reference text was prepared: the book ‘Harvest of Administrative Development (2): Human Resources Management', which sheds light on the theoretical framework of human resources at Al-Mabarrat and the four basic functions: selecting staff for professional development, managing and assessing performance, developing drive, and motivation…”

He closed his speech by telling the trainees: “Be pioneers of lifelong learning, let what you learn become part of yourselves, and try to search out what is new every day, because the world is developing at record speed. Let your ambition be leadership, each in their own place… Question your own methods… Be part of the vanguard that shapes the mission-driven human being.”
