Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association organized at “Al-Sayyeda Khadija Al-Kubra Mabarrat” on the airport road a recreational festival for 500 orphaned children from the care institutions in Lebanon, on the occasion of Children's Day, entitled “We Grow with Your Love”, with the participation of Burj Al-Barajneh municipality, the “Alwan Arts Forum”, the council of the Mabarrat's women friends and female graduates of Al-Mabarrat.
To begin with, the children of “Al-Sayyeda Khadija Al-Kubra Mabarrat” and the “choir of the Al-Sayyeda Sukayna Arts Institute for Girls” received the children of the institutions with songs inspired by the occasion and distributed balloons to them.
Then the participating delegations moved to the theatre, where there was a welcoming speech by the Mabarrat's director Alia Karim, then a speech by the representative of the president of Burj Al-Barajneh municipality Hassan Ammar, in which he spoke about “the struggle of His Eminence Allama Marja' Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah in spreading the spirit of coexistence among all the components”, hoping “that these institutions will remain welcoming to all the children of Lebanon”.
Afterwards the director Karim Dakroub and his troupe presented the play “A Thousand Roses and a Rose”, after which the children moved to the artistic and sporting corners prepared for fun and play, while the “Alwan” arts forum presented varied segments of drawing and manual and craft work.
The festival closed with lunch and the distribution of gifts to the children, who placed their fingerprints on a mural prepared to express their wishes and desires.
