Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association held Eid Al-Fitr celebrations at its 11 care institutions, and distributed Eid clothing, Eid gifts and toys to 4,800 children - orphans, those in difficult social circumstances and those with special needs - with the participation of the association's president the scholar Sayyed Ali Fadlallah, the Director General Dr. Mohammad Baqer Fadlallah, and social and economic figures.

Dr. Fadlallah first thanked “all Al-Mabarrat's supporters, from benefactors and friends who did not abandon it in the crises”, affirming “Al-Mabarrat's continued provision of services at all its institutions”.

He said: “Al-Mabarrat will go on bearing the difficulties in order to provide the conditions and the elements of a dignified life for all the groups it cares for - orphans, the poor, those with special needs and the elderly - at its various institutions.”

The scholar Fadlallah then spoke and said: “The Eid comes amid the difficult circumstances most Lebanese are suffering. This suffering could have been greater and harsher were it not for the solidarity and cooperation we have witnessed and go on witnessing, which we saw in its clearest signs during Ramadan in the initiatives of goodness that were launched, and which we witness today at the Eid through the zakat al-fitr and the gifts offered by the people of goodness.”

He continued: “In this month orphans, people with disabilities, the elderly and those in need have received honour, attention and care. Here we must offer thanks and appreciation to everyone who gave, offered and provided, and who will carry on doing so. We want this giving not to stop but to continue.”

It is noted that the celebrations included iftars at all the care institutions, along with recreational activities and varied anthems.
